Orientation

You are strongly advised to attend the pre-departure orientation for the individual program in which you are participating. If you are outside of Hong Kong or if you are unable to attend the orientation for any reason, please contact your program coordinator to ensure that you receive the information and materials covered during the orientation. Please find the orientation itinerary attached.

 

Accommodation Information

Accommodation Check-In: 29th June, 2024 from 3PM

Recommended flights from Hong Kong to Edinburgh:

28th June, 2024: CX251, Hong Kong (2240) to London Heathrow (0540)

29th June, 2024: BA1438, London Heathrow (0855) to Edinburgh (1020)

Gathering Location:

For Those Departing from Hong Kong:

• The meeting point for those leaving from Hong Kong will be at Aisle B in the check-in hall of Hong Kong International Airport on June 28th, 2024 at 8:15 PM.

For Everyone Arriving in Edinburgh:

• Meeting in International Arrivals 1 Area of Edinburgh Airport at noon (12:00PM) on 29thJune, 2024.

• Airport transfer services will be provided from Edinburgh Airport to the accommodations at The University of Edinburgh if you take our recommended flight and arrive at Edinburgh Airport by 12:00 PM.

Passport / Visa

It is essential to check that your passport remains valid throughout the entire duration of your program, as well as for at least six months beyond your scheduled travel dates. Please also be reminded that a visa may be required for travel to your program country, depending on your citizenship and length of stay. Please make sure that you check accordingly and further information can be found here. 

 

Travel Insurance

It is recommended that you have travel insurance covered for the length of the entire trip.
